Beaver Falls council accepted three resignations and promoted a new fire captain

  • Mayor Johns announced the city’s wastewater treatment plant was sold that day and said she wants input from the community, employees and council on next steps.
  • Council accepted resignations from WWTP Chief Operator Brian Petronchak, effective July 18, WWTP Chief Mechanic Nicholas Perza, effective July 22, and Police Officer Joshua Fabian, effective immediately.
  • Council unanimously promoted Nicholas Marcinko to captain in the Beaver Falls Fire Department.
